What is new

Before you pick a nusach, the morning screen says why nothing opens and counts what is waiting. It does not pick for you.

Fifteen reading chips only pointed back up the page. They now sit behind one counted fold, and the morning is 683 pixels shorter.

Your reading place is kept on eleven more screens — and a mark on one tefillah no longer lights another.

All sixty-five siddur pieces open now. Five would not, and a tag says which carry real words.

A report screenshot no longer carries names — not even one still being typed.

Hafrashas challah has no words in this build. Three screens promised them; all three now say so.

📦 marks a release that needs a new install on the phone. ⚡ marks one that arrives over the air into the app you already have. The distinction is the app's own, and it is kept here because it decides whether you have to do anything.

0.159.2 — The number on top stops moving — and bentching remembers your place

The number after the slash is the hundred, and it does not move. What the hour still allows sits beside it with a ~.

Five screens were printing that number and disagreeing with each other. Now they say one thing.

Bentching opens where you stopped. Your place was being kept all along and shown to nobody.

Say what you already ate and it lays the order out for next time. Nothing is marked and nothing is counted.

The order of brachos is now a deck you can practise, or test yourself on.

What's in my house is now in the A–Z list. It was built, and the only way in was through another screen.

0.158.2 — Walk the order with me — and the button that was taller than the screen

Tell it you are sitting down to eat and it walks the order with you, one kind at a time.

Where the order between two foods is a machlokes, it says so and orders neither.

A button on the morning screen was 1,005 pixels tall. It is now 99.

Reading the tzitzis machlokes no longer means resting your thumb on something that navigates away.

The lending board no longer says nothing on it has ever left this phone.

0.157.2 — What's in the house — and buttons your finger can actually find

Foods whose bracha is a question are named as questions — never quietly moved down the list.

1,661 buttons that were too small to hit now take a whole finger.

0.156.2 — Your morning, your order — and the count stops moving

Birchos HaShachar with your tallis and tefillin is now an option, and it is kept separate.

Fifteen brachos the app has were told it does not print them. It does — they open in place.

The number after the slash is your day's own total. It no longer moves as the hours pass.

A day already counted keeps its own total. Your past days are no longer re-scored.

Netilas yadayim now says why its words are held back, in the edition's own words.

A report that has not been answered yet no longer reads as one that failed to send.

0.155.2 — What the screens say is true now — and an answer you can see

Screens that said there is no server now say what is true.

The kids screens no longer promise records never leave this phone.

The voice screen counted four recordings on a phone holding one.

When someone answers your report, you now see it in the app.

A reply that has not arrived no longer reads as failed to send.

The back arrow keeps a full finger on every screen.

0.154.2 — The whole map, a code on the door, and your own channel

One page with every screen on it - all 116, grouped, and every name on it opens. From More.

If you set a code for the grown-ups, opening Lechem can now ask for it. Only if you set one - a phone that never opted in is untouched. The children's screens still open without it.

Your own channel: every message an agent writes for you, read out one after another, marked heard. It needs an account, and until there is one the screen says so.

The button for reporting a problem was missing from all five main screens. It is back on every one.

The language button did nothing until you had tapped it once. Now it works the first time.

1,649 buttons that were too small to hit properly now take a whole finger.

When the app reads a bracha aloud it no longer says the Shem, and the screen says where it was left out.

What you type into a report is now kept as you type it. A crash mid-sentence used to lose all of it.

Screens that said your records sync when you sign in, and screens that said there is no server, now say what is actually true today.

Where poskim differ, the short view now says so too — not only the full text.

0.153.2 — One bracha, and one place for the things that float

The counter said "1 brachos" on the first bracha of every day. It now says one bracha.

The count, the language button and the feedback door now sit together in one strip instead of floating over the page in three corners.

Twenty-eight buttons that could not be tapped because something floated on top of them now work — Print, Next chapter, Open Tools and the rest.

Yaaleh VeYavo was printing without its ending in bentching. It is named and withheld until the whole text is in.

0.152.2 — Your place is kept, and the count is exact

Tehillim, Chumash and Neviim come back to the exact place you stopped. Marking a pasuk in Chumash now works at all.

The count is exact: a quick pick adds its own number of brachos, and undoing one you never picked no longer takes a bracha off.

Each child earns his own star. Until now the first child to answer a card claimed it for the whole phone, and his brothers got nothing.

The back arrow is a real target instead of a sliver, and the Sources screen no longer slides sideways off the phone.

0.151.2 — The app has its own face now

On your home screen the app showed a generic blue mark that came with the toolkit — not Lechem's. It is now לחם in gold on white, the same lockup the app itself wears.

The opening screen matched that placeholder. It now opens on the same mark, on the app's own paper.

0.150.2 — The Back button is yours again, and the app tells the truth

The new-version notice was sitting exactly on top of the Back button on about seventy screens. It now moves out of the way of whatever it would cover.

The app used to say there is no account and no cloud. That is no longer true, so it no longer says it — it now names exactly what can leave this phone, and when.

Taking a count back now takes two taps. One arms it and says what will happen; the second does it. Any other tap calls it off.

0.149.2 — One system, and the right day

Everything is now at most three taps from home. Nothing needs typing to be found.

Back no longer drops you into the old menu — it lands where the screen belongs.

Maariv now follows the Jewish day, so Yaaleh VeYavo is there on the night it begins.

Nusach Sefard now gets its own selichos, on its own schedule.

Marks made late at night stay put — six screens stopped turning over at midnight.

A backup now asks which kind you want: the full one you keep, or a copy safe to send.

0.148.2 — Pictures of the food, and brachos we can vouch for

Tap a picture to find the bracha — fruit, vegetables, drinks, baked goods. 90 of the 108 foods have one.

A food with no honest picture shows its name instead. Corn flakes never borrow the corn.

The nature brachos and hafrashas challah no longer print words this app typed itself. Where the text is not here, it says so by name.

Birkas HaGomel was invisible on both screens that named it, each pointing at the other. It now shows.

Login and the editors' mode were built but nothing could reach them. Both are now doors you can open.

A child's name no longer leaves the phone in a report, and leaving the children's screen asks for the code.
