📜Tehillim — including the kapitel for a name, and when it is urgent

Tehillim is the sefer people reach for when something has happened. That is a bad moment to be navigating a book, and it is exactly the moment Lechem is built for.

The whole sefer is here, in readable Hebrew type, opening where you leave it. Beyond that there are two screens that exist because of how people actually use Tehillim rather than how a book is organised.

The first is kapitel 119 by name. Saying the letters of a person's name out of the alphabetical kapitel is a widespread minhag, and doing it means sitting there working out which stanzas you need. Lechem takes the name and lays out the stanzas in order, so the work is done before you start and you spend the time saying rather than counting.

The second is for the phone call at eleven at night. Somebody has been taken in, a name is going round, and everyone wants to say something now. That screen gets you from a name to the words in one step, without a setup flow, without an account, and without asking you anything you would not want to be asked in that moment.

The names you carry are yours and they stay on your phone. Lechem does not publish a list of the sick, it does not build a directory out of them, and it does not show anybody how many people are saying Tehillim for whom.
